Round& Round

There once was a carousel horse named Sparkles who lived in a fair. Sparkles was proud of her position as the only horse on the carousel. She was white with pink trimmings and large enough to hold any little boy and little girl who would want to ride her. And all of the little boys and girls did want to ride her, every day, during the morning and afternoon, as she took them round and round while making them laugh.

But during the nights, Sparkles was sad. When the boys and girls leave with their parents, Sparkles is left alone with the other carousel animals. Even though she liked going round and round, she did want to go straight. Just this once. Sparkles even wished upon a star.

Then one day a fairy appeared and asked Sparkles what she wanted most. Sparkles told her that she wanted to move straight, not round and round. So the fairy lifted her wand and dropped silver dust onto Sparkles head.

Sparkles turned into a real horse that day. And even though she was sad to say goodbye to the other carousel animals, she ran and ran, finally happy that she can choose where to go for the rest of her life.
